Month 4 is For Milestones

April has been quite a month for baby Rose. When she wasn't being dragged all over town by her parents, house hunting in Charlotte, she was busy becoming a more autonomous individual. I am please to announce that Rose can now sit up on her own and roll over!

She is still on such a great schedule, sleeping the night through. When awake, she makes the most out of her days. Rose loves listening to daddy play guitar, she loves reading books, turning the pages of her books and she also really likes playing with her bouncy ball.

Unfortunately it seems Rose has outgrown her swing, and she is not to keen on her elephant chair any longer, but she digs her play mats and we got her a new toy- a johnny jumper that she has been bouncing around in lately.

Rose becomes more lovely and more vocal every day. She loves to socialize and is a well mannered all around sweet baby. We are so lucky to have her and hope you enjoy looking at pictures showing Rose in her 4th month of life.

Casting Call

I just entered Rose in the Gap Casting call for baby models! When they asked to explain in 50 words or less how my baby brightens the world it really gave me a chance to think. Here is her submission and what I came up with:

Marching into Month 3

March has been such a wonderful month for us! Rose is still sleeping through the night! We took her in for a 3 month check-up and she weighted in at 13.3lbs and measured 24 inches. She is in the 87th percentile for both height and weight. Her doctor was super impressed with her development and said she was advanced. =) Her motor skills are continuing to improve as she now reaches out and grasps things in front of her.

Eric is still practicing walking with her, causing her to have very strong little leg muscles. She has also discovered her voice and has taken to banshee screams while playing with her toys. Her eyes are still blue, but more of a gray blue now. We are wondering if our blue eyed red haired daughter might be turning into a gray eyed blond haired babe.

Rose has recently discovered our cat and it is way cute to see them look at each other. Rose has pet Karma a few times and they both seem to like each other. Although they usually keep their distance Karma will come check on Rose if she is crying intensely.

This third month has been a happy one for our little family and we are so very blessed to have each other. As the weather is warming up here in the Carolinas and as Rose continues to grow in leaps and bounds, we have ventured out of the home more and more. Rose seems to truly have her parents genes as she seems to be a traveler and an overall trouper! She also loves just sitting out on our patio and looking at the creek and trees. She is a delightful baby and for those that have yet to meet her, we are looking forward to your visit! Our door is always open to our friends and family!
